HEC-5: Simulation of Flood Control and Conservation Systems

HEC-5 (Simulation of Flood Control and Conservation Systems) has been developed to analyse and support the planning of flood control measures in a reservoir system.
The program may be used to evaluate different flood management policies as well as the sizing of reservoirs and their flood control volumes. It may also be used in real-time during a flood episode to manage the reservoir in order to find a reasonable compromise between flood management and conservation purposes.
The user can select among several options for modelling the rainfall-runoff process in each (sub)basin.
